Redemption or Gluttons For Punishment?

So we decided to take another boat trip to the Florida Keys.  Are we just gluttons for punishment or will this be a redemption trip?

The day before we left we got 4 inches of heavy wet snow.  Corps cleaned the boat off three times before we left.  Yikes!

We decided to try making the trip in two days.  Day One we left home at 6 a.m.  It was pretty windy but otherwise uneventful.  We drove 14 hours about 800 miles and stayed overnight in Oak Grove, KY.

We also tried a new app for fuel stops... Trucker Path.  What a find!  It works great and has made refueling much easier than last year.

Day Two we started at 6 a.m. as well.  We stopped in Calhoun, GA and noticed we had a flat tire.  Passenger side; middle wheel.  So Corp put on spare and we were off to Walmart to buy a new tire and have it put on the rim.  Unfortunately, Corp broke his almost 20 year boycott of Walmart.  We hate Walmart, but we were very pleased with their prompt and friendly service. 

So off we go until we get to Lake City, FL.  We blow a tire and then we get a flat when Corps pulled to the side of the I75.  This is the worst of the two tires.

So we are stuck on I75 with four lanes of traffic flying by us at 80 mph.  We called Progressive Roadside assistance.  After being on the phone for 45 minutes with no progress we took the matter in our own hands.  Corps backed down the entire .25 mile up approach ramp and got us to safety.  His skills amazed me!  We get to a gas station close by and called for help.  Luis came to the rescue and helped us enough so we could get to the service station so we could get all new tires.  We bought all new tires and had the trailer fully serviced before we left.  Not sure what is going wrong!

So now we wait to get all new tires on Monday morning and drive another 375 miles to hopefully get to the marina tomorrow.

Please no more travel issues!!!!!  Keeping our fingers crossed!!!!
